Three Easy Tips to Help Your Paintings

In this week’s video, I am offering you three tips to embrace the random and create a more natural-looking scene:

• Avoid patterns

• Resist symmetry

• Add variety

Because our brain tends toward patterns and symmetry, these practices are difficult sometimes. Sometimes it takes deliberate effort to embrace the random and the variety. When we do, we can still achieve balance, and the scene we create is often much more realistic and natural.
